Fat camp

Fat Camp is a semi-narrative, non-linear solo performance about the relationship between trans people and the US military-industrial complex. considering the perspective of a transgender veteran, fat camp interrogates the queer desire for inclusion in a system that actively works to eradicate queerness. drawing this together with my own gendered experience in contemporary times of war, the performance looks at how the gendered nature of militarization and empire have shifted over time, with developments in military technologies and logics of empire as well as how war conditions our bodies in everyday life.
